SIATHEME

Building stone mines constitute one-fourth of the identified mines in the country. Due to the abundant diversity in the type and color of extracted stones, Iran is known as a paradise for building stone mines.
The diversity in building stone mines is significant because people's preferences and tastes change over time based on market trends, leading to periodic shifts in interest towards specific stones.
The Siyatem mine is located in East Azerbaijan province. This mine has been operational for over 15 years, and according to veterans and tangible evidence, it was active not too long ago. Interestingly, the "Nail and Pars" method was used for stone extraction in this mine, which has been marketed under the name "Zal Marand."
